Spotted this in front of a Duane Reade today… “Prescriptions. Easier to get than taxicabs.” Real talk.
I took this photo (with my iPhone) from a window in my bedroom at my family’s house in Connecticut last spring. If you look to the far left you can see the reflection of a bird feeder. It’s funny how growing up in the country I couldn’t wait to leave, and now I often finding myself counting down the days until my next visit. It’s always so nice to see my family, and our house offers a welcome escape from the chaos of New York City as well as the overindulgence of the Hamptons.
Last night I had a chance to swing by to see my mother and grandmother (Mitzi) before heading to a project this morning. My father was away on business so it was just the three of us and the ferocious guard dogs poodles… I can’t remember the last time that I laughed so hard or slept so well.
A photo (of a photo) taken on the drive from Southampton to Manhattan last night… iPhone quality.
Padded Cell installation by Jennifer Rubell… I spent weeks wondering what Jennifer was cooking up for the Red Party. She didn’t disappoint - dessert was a room created entirely from cotton candy. We took turns pulling pieces from the walls while we laughed about accidentally cultivating cavities.
On Wednesday morning I flew to Los Angeles and arrived at my friend Tyler Shield’s house just hours after his (now notorious) gun-slinging shoot with Lindsay Lohan. I’ve never met the ever-dimming starlet, but she sure knows how to make an impression - albeit in the form of countless cigarette butts littered upon the front lawn, red kisses left throughout the house and blood-splattered walls… Watch the dirty details behind the scenes video here.
